This is a question I ask myself a lot these days. Now, I'm thinking, I hope my mother never finds this blog because I am going to talk a lot about her.
I started playing violin when I was about 6 and really hating every minute of it, other than when I was performing for family friends and getting applauses. I remember thinking, I will never subject my children to this kind of torture. What was that saying about saying nevers?
I'm not sure how this happened. Was there a cosmic force that decided that I didn't have enough to do, didn't have enough stress, my life wasn't complicated enough, my children didn't have enough activities besides pony riding, painting, dancing, school, to fill their days. Violin has invaded this household.
And this same cosmic force also decided that my girls, Marguerite 8 and Carmen 5, should actually be pretty talented at this awkward instrument.
So, we have embarked on this road which seems to be irreversible. Their talent is only outweighed by my expectations. How did this happen?
I am turning into my own mother.

you are doing the right thing so keep it up - looking forward to more entries
darling, you will never, EVER, turn into anything even vaguely resembling your mother. Not to worry.
I can't wait for my very own violin concerto from my favorite trio.
Love you and congratulations on your new blog. I knew it was destined to happen since we usually do things in pairs as you know:-)
M, what can I say, I follow in your footsteps.
